Working with us

What the first weeks feel like, and what they cost

What people hire us for is a modus operandi. A way of showing up that lets a brand belong somewhere, not just sell everywhere. We help brands find their community-centered practice: who they move with, what they stand next to, what they refuse to take from. Done well, it changes the way the brand gets talked about in rooms you are not in. Done honestly, it changes the way the brand measures itself.

This page is a walk-through of what it feels like to work with us in the first few months, so you can see whether the fit is there before we talk.

Who you meet

You will spend most of your time with Cye, our creative director. He runs the diagnostic and holds the strategic line through implementation. Lea handles the business side: scope, planning, contracting, the money. Charlize covers photography and video, and sits in on sessions where capture matters.

There is no account team between you and the work. You get the people who do the thinking, and when there is a draft on the table it has their names on it. Our bios live further down the site; here, it is enough to know who shows up in which room.

How it goes

Every engagement opens with a diagnostic. Three to six weeks of listening, scanning, arguing out loud. We talk to the people in your rooms and the people in the rooms next to yours. We look at where the brand actually sits in culture, which is almost never where the deck says it sits.

In practice:

  • Week 1 to 2 — conversations with you, your team, and the people around the brand. Positioning scan, community audit, metrics audit.
  • Week 3 to 4 — findings on the table. We tell you what the brand is doing, what it is being seen doing, and where those two things have come apart.
  • Week 5 onwards — a scoped implementation proposal built on what we found, not on a rate card. If a different route is more honest, we say so.

The diagnostic has its own value even if we never work together again. You leave with a document that other agencies, other partners, and your own team can read.

What it costs {#pricing}

Engagements start with a diagnostic from €10,000. That is the floor and it is the first thing you pay. The implementation that follows is scoped to what the diagnostic surfaces, which means we quote it only once we have met the brand properly. Most engagements that continue past the diagnostic sit between €30,000 and €150,000 over three to nine months.

We work with a small number of brands at a time on purpose. The work does not scale by taking more clients, it scales by going further with the ones already in the room. If we are at capacity we will say so, and point you to someone good.

How to start

Email us at hi@brandnewguys.co with a few lines on what you are working on. You will hear back from Cye within two working days with three time slots for a thirty-minute call. If that call tells us both that the fit is there, we send a diagnostic proposal within the week.

You do not need to arrive with a brief. You do not need to arrive with a strategy. You arrive with the brand and whatever is giving you pause about it. That is the right place to start.
